Jane Kitnee hazaar ratein hain…

No wonder there are thousands of nights….
Every night has a different morning…
Among those nights.. is my night as well
That looks at the moon switching on and off…
But never experiences its dawn !!

The other day I was watching Spider man 3 and one dialogue really stirred me. The dialogue was; ‘One man can really make a difference!’ It sounds quite plain and for some people kind of cheesy but if you come to think of it this is the most frequently asked social question. You hear people getting mugged and you decide in your head that you won’t resist either as one man can make no difference. You see corruption every where and decides comfortably to be the part of it because one man can make no difference.
But there are people in the world who step up and make a difference not just because they need fame, money or chicks; but they just can’t stand any shit. These people are not comic book heroes they are real people like you and me who smoke, curse, who stand in the line to pay bills, who wait for the bus on the stop. The other day some guy I know surprised me with his little act of courage.
This was about a few weeks back when he was walking on the street under the scorching heat of the sun. He was tired, thirsty, and a little unsure about the project he was working on as his future degree is based on it. He was heading to the bus stop, to release some pressure off his head he took out a cigarette, lit it and exhaled a light gray smoke cloud in the air. He knew that a smoke won’t help him in anyway but what the hell; he took a deep puff and filled the air with another smoke cloud.
In the mean time, he passed a girl on the bus stop and two guys coming from the apposite direction. After a few steps he halted and started waiting for his bus. He realized that the street was kind a deserted and God forbid there is a possibility of getting mugged. Ten more minutes passed and there was no sign of the bus. The girl was glued to her position as well. To add to his displeasure he saw a guy on motor bike (Honda 125 ) approaching towards him. The speed kept on lessening; Bye Bye!! Cell phone he told himself. But surprisingly the bike passed him and stopped where the young girl was standing. He realized that the guy who was in his mid thirties was as stranger to the girl as he was to him. The girl was in immense displeasure as the guy was probably harassing her.
Enough! He told himself and walked up to the guy and barked; ‘Do you have a problem mister!’ the guy was surprised on this question. The guy replied ‘No!’ On this answer he took a more aggressive tone and told him to get hell out of there. The guy kicked his bike and disappeared in few seconds. He took a look at the girl who was a bit relieved. He said nothing to her and walked to the spot where he was waiting for the bus.
