Shia Sunni division was produced to bring anarchy and destabilization. At common people level we are not divided but at top level we are as media projects…obviously because media and top level leaders are employed/paid to do that. Those who want to divide kill sunni’s and blame it on shia…then they kill shia’s to blame sunnis.
The most important things are common …differences are on small matters. As the picture depicts …our target and objective is the same…even if we take different paths to reach it.

In my childhood there was no such division…I mean the armed one..this things started towards the end of Afghan war when ‘friends’ created two groups and then started killing in the name of shia / sunni.
Even in Pakistan when I was late for friday prayer I went to Shias mosque believing that prayer is more important than shia/sunni. During Haj too I joined Iranians who were shias for jammat prayers even though my movements were a bit different, we all were praying to Allah and believing what our Prophet Muhammad ( SAW ) has told us.

Your title reminds me of one of favourites from Iqbal…
“… tum sabhi kuch ho batao kay musalman bhi ho?”

I really really respect u for putting this up ! honestly :). At a time and place where ISLAM is being questioned literally everywhere its has become essential for all of us to realize that we need to end this baseless rivalry. Shia’s are our muslims brothers too, our hearts bleeds the same whether its the shia that suffers or the sunni. We are first and foremost muslims. The biggest example to look up to is Hazrat Muhammad sallalahu wa allahi wasalam and he was nether a shia nor a sunni. May ALLAH give us all the courage to respect each others believe and to follow the true message of ALLAH and stay united.
And hold fast, all of you together, to the Rope of Allah (i.e. this Quran), and be not divided among yourselves, and remember Allahs Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islamic Faith), and you were on the brink of a pit of Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus Allah makes His Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.,) clear to you, that you may be guided.

@Sana and Zios
Thank you very much for your sincere comments on this post. I hope this spirit prevails peace and harmony and above all unity among us. And we are able to isolate the extremists forces in our respective sects.

Ammar, I didn’t understand why is it tagged under India?

@prerna
I must have tagged it accidentally, thanks for pointing it out.
