I got there early with Asim and Imad to check the arrangements out. Jamal (The photo blogger) was the first one to show up and Asim asked me ‘why is he too early’. I asked Zair to check his ID card, he was 10 minutes earlier, very unlike any Paksitani . In the meanwhile Zair disclose the news that Shahzad won’t be able to make it, as he is sick and throwing up all over the neighborhood. I called him and asked him to try his best as we can’t afford to loose a team member in an important event such as this. At quarter past 4 Asim started to get a little nervous.
“Why aren’t they showing up?” he asked
I told him to calm down and then some bloggers started to show up one after another.I was quite pissed at my friends (who also happen to be fellow bloggers) as I spend the whole Saturday reminding them to be there at 4 PM and except Imad all of them were “LATE”.
As a result we started the procession without them. Asim gave the welcome speech for which he spend the whole week preparing and then it was my turn to tell the world (18 or more people) that what is we have in mind for Pakistani Blogging Community. I will God willing discuss the “agenda” in the upcoming posts. But that was the turning point of the whole evening as from their all the teabreak bloggers engaged themselves in a fruitful debate over a cup of tea. Of course the majority didn’t agree to certain points we presented but then we never expected them to do that.
The main idea behind this “Get together” event was to provide Pakistani bloggers an opportunity to meet and identify our existence in the society we live in and if we have that certain existence then how can we work out a way to reshape the world around us. How successful we are to achieve that only future can tell. But I got a great response from bloggers like Jehan Ara,Dr. Awab and Ramla Akhtar. They are the who’s who of the industry and their encouragement really counts to a team as young as ours.
It was also nice to meet new people and we shared quite a few jokes in a friendly environment. That’s the best part about blogging we have 1 million issues to talk, cry and laugh about. I want to thank all those who took some time out on a day like Sunday and joined us over a cup of tea.

The last time I met her, the first question I asked was how she’s able to keep her blog content so fresh despite the busy life that she lives. She smiled and told me that her blog readers make her write and when the day ends she utilizes her night to write such interesting blog posts for us.
I was lucky enough to interview Madam Jehan Ara as shes the featured blogger for Teabreak.pk for the month of July.

From the very start of Teabreak.pk we faced some allegations and criticism from a particular section of the blogging society. Now being a reasonable being we firmly believe in positive criticism. In fact positive analysis can help you revaluate points that went unnoticed for any reason. And we are not only open for suggestions and feedbacks but there are quite a few examples that we took criticism from one of our subscribers and made changes that also turned out to be helpful for us.
But here are few issues that I want to clear here;
Is it fair for the writers to publish their full posts on Teabreak.pk website?
First of all every blogger has total control over the amount of material that can be published through RSS Feeds. So if any blogger ever have a similar objection they can their self put a lid on their bottle.
Secondly and most importantly the very aim of TB is to promote bloggers. Teabreak.pk is visited by 10,000 visitor’s everyday which is 10 times the amount of traffic that many blogs fail to achieve in years. So if any blogger can produce quality blogposts we are helping that particular blogger by redirecting the traffic to its blog. We are not publishing their whole archive but giving the teaser of their work and what the blogger is capable of writing.
Today more than 200 blogs are subscribed to Teabreak network. In fact the turnout has been so great by the grace of God that we have decided to close these subscriptions for some time and we are not taking any more requests for the time being. So that completely nullifies the very idea that we are in some pathetic way breeding on the Write-ups of bloggers.
Why Teabreak is not for you?
Big Blogs who have been the part of the blogosphere for quite some time and who for some reason believe that we can destroy their ranking; please read the Terms and Conditions page carefully and bare yourself the trouble of writing long withdraw emails.

One month ago at Sims place we initiated the idea of Teabreak. We wanted to do something better for the Blogging society But before the release of the site I was summoned to my boss’s office and was told that we were committing many violations of the cyber law. And I was like; Are we? So I called Sim and disclosed the news. Turns out my Boss’s advice were the best thing that could happen to Teabreak.pk and we devised a better and lawful way to subscribe users.
After two months of its release I can say that we have one good blogging site on the blogosphere and it could not have been possible if dedicated and hardworking members like Zair and Shahzad aka Dehog have not joined Teabreak. We are one of the most visited blog forums of Pakistan today! (Mashallah). Even on Alltop-Paksitan, Teabreak is the first thing you witness. Its a long way to go, but for a baby site its kinda kewl
